This last June, Aleisha and Jonathan said their “I do’s” at The Outpost Center surrounded by friends and family. Enjoy these pictures from their big day while hearing about one bride and her photographer’s experience at The Outpost Center.

I love shooting at the Outpost for several reasons: the openness, the simplicity and the view.

Looking back to when Aleisha and Jonathan began planning their wedding, they toured and quickly fell in love with The Outpost. Eventually, they chose it to host their big day. Bride Aleisha shared that it was because of “the beautiful ceremony and reception areas, but we also love the mission of the venue and the ministries that get poured into from us paying for the venue.”

Photographer Jennifer’s first wedding was actually at the Outpost! Her favorite moment to capture is the first look. She shared about Jonathan & Aleisha’s first look, “[They] chose to read each other letters they had written before seeing each other for the first time. The raw gratitude, pleasure, and joy in Jonathan’s eyes when he saw his bride for the first time was stunning to behold. Joy was contagious!”

I enjoyed the ivy covered atrium for Aleisha & Jonathan’s first look because of the harsh sun. I have also used the small shed.

Bride Aleisha said her favorite thing was the gorgeous ceremony set up. She liked the Outpost because it was a blank canvas that she could decorate. She made her day unique by decorating with burlap and lace that accented their blush pink and navy colors.

The benefits of portrait locations onsite were huge - Aleisha and Jonathan specifically requested a short portrait time right after their ceremony. We were able to finish in 30 minutes without rushing because we simply walked to the south grounds!

To Brides Planning Their Wedding…

Bride Aleisha shared that you should think through your decorations and flowers thoroughly! These help make your wedding unique to you.

Photographer Jennifer encourages brides to imagine themselves at the venue and ask,”Does this space feel peaceful?” She shared, “Brides who keep their peace and joy on wedding day smile sincerely.”

Also, when picking a photographer be sure to analyze their style and ask yourself, “Does this feel us?”
