Dreamy Winter Wedding | Liz + Kai

On December 15, Kai and Liz shared a dreamy winter wedding with the perfect weather - 40 degrees and sunny!

It was literally the perfect day! The Outpost was such a blessing!

“You just walk in the building with the sunlight… it just had this presence of being a place where God dwells and that was so cool to us.”

-Liz

These high school sweethearts got married at The Outpost Center 8 years after beginning their relationship! I had the pleasure of video chatting with Liz and learning more about her big day!

They were venue searching when a family friend told them about The Outpost Center. When they toured, they just knew this was the place they were going to get married. At other venues, they could not picture their big day there but at The Outpost Kai even teared up! That’s when Liz knew this was the place they would get married since she had only seen him cry twice in the years they had been together.

Every couple that comes there is not just another number. Everyone I came in contact with really strived to get to know us and know our story. They didn’t just see us as a dollar sign.

Their first look was especially special to them because they did not see each other much leading up to the wedding. This was also the first time Liz saw Kai in his dress blues!

While I was walking out to him and seeing him from the back, God was quieting my heart, and I knew he was present for all of this. Soaking in every last blessing.

Advice to Future Brides…

The best advice Liz received was to take time for yourself the morning of your wedding. She shared she woke up an hour before her bridal party and found an empty room in the hotel where she took some time to be alone. She spent the time doing her devotions, reflecting, and being present in the moment. The wedding day goes by quickly!

Weddings are expensive - giving your money for something that is blessing others than why not. It felt more meaningful and easier to write that check.
